2022The sailing regatta was due to be held at Hythe, but was cancelled at short notice. 22-Result (37.9 KB) The regatta was held at Testwood Lake on Saturday 24th September.
It was attended by 49 Scouts from 7 troops and 13 Explorers from 5 units.
The weather was good and we managed to complete the programme.

The regatta was held at Testwood with additional risk assessments and restrictions due to COVID. There were 66 Scouts from 6 troops and 19 Explorers from 6 units.
The wind was a bit light for sailing but the weather was good for the canoeing & kayaking. The pulling events were not included this year.

The combined regatta due to be held on Saturday 28th September at Testwood Lake had to be moved at the last minute to Spinnaker Sailing Club. The weather was favorable, but the wind was reasonably strong causing us to only get through two rounds of the pulling, canoeing & kayaking. We did manage three rounds of the sailing. 
It was attended by 115 Scouts from 9 troops and 32 Explorers from 6 units.

The combined regatta due to be held over the weekend of the 22nd September at Testwood Lake had to be moved at the last minute to Spinnaker Sailing Club. This meant it had to be held on a single day with the loss of two sailing classes.
It was attended by 114 Scouts from 9 troops and 40 Explorers from 5 units, who braved torrential rain and non-existent wind to complete two rounds of the regatta.

It was attended by approximately 108 Scouts from 9 troops and 42 Explorers from 7 Units.

The wind was a bit strong at times and quite lumpy. This caused the final round of the Scout events to be cancelled.

Due to an outbreak of blue-green algae at Testwood lake, the regatta was changed to a single day event held at Spinnaker Sailing Club, Blashford.
In spite of the wind we managed to get through the whole programme.
The event was attended by 105 Scouts from 9 Troops and 36 Explorers from 4 Units.
